First things first, Page Habit gets a boost in my esteem because of the donation to children’s literacy programs with each box. They will do an additional donation for everyone who shares their un-boxing on social media using #mypagehabit. I’m all for supporting companies that want to give back!
I liked this box. I think this would make a great gift subscription for someone. It was nicely packaged and full of fun stuff. They had a theme across their boxes for the month of twists and turns. So they have a bunch of different boxes you can subscribe to.
The spoiler card showed you what book the other boxes came with as well as explaining their unified theme. It also had information on the specific charity they were donating to. If you go to their website you can see digital versions of the cards for previous months.
Now to the actual goodies
The book that came was The Woman Who Couldn’t Scream by Christina Dodd. This is the latest release in her Virtue Falls series. It came with a card with a letter, as well as all the annotations. I can’t wait to start reading it and look through the notes. We recently read the first book in the series. If you’d like to check out our podcast on that episode click here.
Also included was a beautiful glossy Page Habit bookmark (of course), cute little iron on patch, an enameled comic book pin, and a rubber cat coaster (?).
From the New York Times bestselling author comes the fourth novel of suspense taking place in Virtue Falls, Washington.
Beautiful Merida is married to a wealthy older man who takes her around the world as his trophy. Merida is everything a man could want. But a traumatic accident years before left her without the ability to speak. When her husband dies, she knows its her chance to exact revenge on those responsible for her accident—and that vengeance begins in Virtue Falls. Reinventing herself, she slips into village life, biding her time. But someone knows exactly who she is and will use this chance to finish what was started years ago. And this time an accident for Merida will mean silencing her forever.
